Professional Communication In Action: Tackling Food Waste and Hunger in Atlanta
Course Overview

This two-week course engages high-performing high school juniors and seniors in applying critical thinking to a real-world challenge. Partnering with Concrete Jungle, a nonprofit that redistributes unwanted crops to food banks, students will research how to increase high school volunteer participation while raising awareness of food scarcity, waste, and logistics. Through workshops, research, and teamwork, students will design and present evidence-based strategies to leaders of the Concrete Jungle. This course will strengthen students’ skills in analysis, collaboration, and persuasive communication.
