Human Physiology


Course Overview

This course examines human physiology, emphasizing the intricate homeostatic mechanisms maintaining the body's integrated functions. Students will have the unique opportunity to engage with an Anatomage table, allowing them to explore and visualize real-life anatomical structures in extraordinary detail. Students will also have hands on experiences listening to heart sounds and taking blood pressures as well as carrying out simple clinical reflex response tests. The curriculum will cover cellular communication processes and the endocrinological and neurophysiological communication systems. Additionally, students will delve into muscle physiology and the complexities and beauty of the cardiovascular, pulmonary renal systems.
