As detailed in the Conduct Code, residential students are not allowed to leave campus with non-Pre-College personnel during the program unless their parent or guardian has previously spoken with Pre-College staff and completed an Off-Campus Travel Permission Form. We discourage students from leaving campus to visit friends and relatives during the program. Students will get the most out of the Emory Pre-College Program when they remain fully engaged with their peers and the activities that we have planned.

If a student has a friend or family member in the Atlanta area that they would like to visit, we encourage them to plan a visit before or after the Pre-College Program. Alternately, the friend or relative may plan to meet the student for a meal at one of the on-campus dining halls or at one of the many restaurants in Emory Village. No additional paperwork is required for these on-campus visits.

If a student must leave campus with a family friend or relative, please contact Scott Hackett to ensure that the timing of the planned visit will work with your student's schedule and to fill out the required form. This form must be submitted at least 48 hours before the anticipated off-campus travel. The Sunday during the middle of the program is a good time for any off-campus visits. You may reach Scott Hackett by email. These forms will also be available at the program check-in.
